Getting your team in tune
Each of us marches to the beat of a different drum. The secret of good team work is blending contrasting styles and leveraging similar styles. To get the best performance from your team, you have to orchestrate them, getting each to give their best and helping them to build their strengths for peak performance as a group. To achieve this we analyse their different styles of operating and help them learn how to work to together for maximum effect.
Depending on the client brief, we utilise the Strength Management Personal Survey, Team Survey, and our Team Culture Audit in order to build the objective data from which decisions regarding the appropriate coaching and training interventions are agreed.
Every team is different, so we customise the end solution to meet the client's goal, and the process is equally effective whether we are working with the executive team, senior managers or the young high fliers.
By analysing and sharing individual behavioural analysis data, teams can understand themselves and each other better, tuning into the variety of operating styles. Our objective is to develop strategies within the team for better performance.
For example, the team analysis and cultural data might show orientations towards great harmony, a real strength, but perhaps they may be less inclined towards detail or time management. In this instance, our objective will be to help the team focus more on planning and analysis while at the same time not losing the great strengths arising from helping each other.
'Individual commitment to group effort; that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilisation work.'
(Vince Lombardi, Head Coach, Green Bay Packers, legendary American Football coach)
