Heineken - Global Drinks Manufacturer (London & Edinburgh, UK)
This strongly branded global business recently acquired a significant UK drinks manufacturer and the challenge was to move the culture from “product, price and administration” to “brand leadership”. We developed and delivered the “Rules of the Game – Building a Culture for Success” and “Leadership, Time & Planning – Implementing the Culture for Success” workshop programmes to create a new operating culture in the senior marketing brand management teams. Personal coaching and team facilitation were used extensively to help the teams understand their existing personal operating styles and team cultures, as well as identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Sun Manufacturing - Oilfield Manufacturing (Houston, Texas)
A team building mandate to improve senior team performance by introducing a goals-driven cultural approach, adopting customer focused selling strategies and preparing the Operations Director and company President for new roles in the succession plan. The process involved individual coaching as well as facilitating the team to improve performance by better understanding personal styles and developing strategies to combat interpersonal difficulties in order to improve their leadership capabilities.
Invesco Perpetual - Fund Management (London, UK)
A senior personal coaching mandate with a main board director recently appointed to head the distribution division, a new discipline for him. The key requirements were to improve his technical understanding of sales & sales processes as well as his sales management and leadership competencies. Utilising personal behavioural analysis tools provided the objective self awareness data for the coaching process and a model for understanding customer behaviours in the sales process and their part in the decision making process, as well as a tool for understanding and improving the management of 4 sales directors.
Intertek - Global Services (Aberdeen & International Oilfield Services)
Appointed to design and deliver an organisational change programme to drive the change from a series of acquisitions, each with their own culture and operating style, into a sharply focused sales led single organisation. The project embodied cultural shift workshops, executive coaching, sales training, sales leadership training, the development of a unified product proposition and a robust business development process. The 10 month programme underpins the 5 year business plan and supports a compound growth target of 11% per annum against a backdrop of North Sea investment declining at c5% per annum.
England & Wales Cricket Board - National Sporting Organisation (London, UK)
Coaching members of the Leadership Team in a high profile, results orientated national sporting body. The client operates in a pressurised international environment and the challenge was to empower the team to be able to handle ambiguity arising from multiple global operating cultures, the demands of internal and external customers, as well as the political influences which are brought to bear on the national clamour for results. Negotiating and influencing were key aspects of the mandate, specifically when dealing with sponsors, television contracts and the media.
Sense - National Charity (London, Glasgow, UK)
Appointed to assist the Board of Trustees in the selection of a new CEO. We utilised Strength Management behavioural profiling to assess the applicant shortlist and provide the Board with objective data to supplement the interview and assessment centre process. Subsequently retained to provide executive and leadership coaching support to the new CEO as well as the 3 members of the senior directorate who report to the CEO. We have since been retained to deliver executive coaching programmes to all senior managers as well as facilitating team building sessions.
